VOTE! Your civic action to-do list for 11-2-20
3. Tomorrow is Election Day – so it's now or never to head to the polls and do your civic duty!
In a nutshell: The early voting period has elapsed. If you have not yet voted, go vote in person tomorrow. If you have not yet sent in your absentee ballot, put it in your local drop off box ASAP because it's too late to mail it in.
Take action: Wear a mask. Do not wear political attire. Bring an ID. VOTE!
2. If you witness or experience voter intimidation or harassment at your polling location, call the national, nonpartisan voter protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE.
In a nutshell: Disrupting voting lines, blocking the entrance to a polling place, brandishing firearms at polling places, and following voters to, from, or within a polling place are ALL illegal.
Take action: Notify your local election official at your polling place, document what you see or experience on your phone, and call 866-OUR-VOTE to report voter intimidation.
1. Election Day is not the finish line for civic engagement, it's just the beginning.
