3. Tomorrow the Senate will vote on two bills that would ban all abortions after 20 weeks' gestation, in every state. No one seeks abortion care later in pregnancy without a dire need - and politicians should have NO SAY in this painful and private decision.

In a nutshell: S.3275, the "Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" and S.311, the so-called "Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protections Act," are unscientifically-based bills that put women's lives in jeopardy.

Take Action: Call your senators and tell them to stand up for reproductive freedom and oppose these bills!

2. It has been more than a year since the House passed gun violence prevention bills mandating background checks for all gun sales, yet the Senate has failed to bring them up for debate or a vote.

In a nutshell: The Senate needs to close two dangerous legal loopholes: The “gun show” loophole, which allows unlicensed gun sellers to sell firearms without a background check; and the “Charleston loophole,” which allows a gun sale to go through after three days if a background check is incomplete.

Take Action: Join a twitterstorm at 2:00 p.m. ET this Thursday and Friday to tell senators that #BackgroundChecksSaveLives!

1. Pregnant workers are still being pushed out of their jobs for asking for reasonable accommodations at work, like more frequent bathroom breaks!

In a nutshell: On Thursday, advocates will be on the Hill urging representatives to support the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act, a bill that would strengthen protections against pregnancy discrimination.

Take Action: Support our partners by asking your representative to co-sponsor the bill and join the bipartisan effort!
