Virtual Advocacy Day, voting rights and registration, and anti-racism training: Your civic action to-do list for 7-20-20
We at JWI mourn the loss of Representative John Lewis. His bravery and steadfastness in fighting for racial equity, voting rights, and justice for all will remain unparalleled. Furthermore, his commitment to combatting hate and bigotry in all forms, including antisemitism, is aspirational.
Rep. Lewis showed us all how to step up, challenge oppressive systems, and get into good trouble. We honor his legacy with action. Today's 3-2-1 is dedicated to his memory.
3. Reproductive justice, racial equity, and protections for survivors of domestic and sexual violence are all on the line right now.
In a nutshell: JWI is hosting a virtual advocacy day on Tuesday, July 28th, to give our community an opportunity to speak out on critical issues affecting women and girls. We will be meeting with New York, Maryland, Illinois, Colorado, and California Senate offices.
