3. Abortion bans, systemic racism, and gender-based violence harm women and girls across the country – and it's vital that we make all 535 members of Congress aware of the protections and progress we deserve.
In a nutshell: JWI hosted Virtual Advocacy Day last week, bringing together Jewish women from across country to advocate for reproductive freedom, police accountability, and funding for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors amidst COVID-19.
Take action: If you weren't able to join, you can still make your voice heard on these critical issues! Email your members of Congress to support the Women's Health Protection Act (which safeguards abortion access from anti-choice attacks), the Justice in Policing Act of 2020 (which addresses police brutality and racism), and funding for survivors in the next COVID relief package.
2. 100 years ago women finally gained the right to vote. Now, women are elected to public office at all levels of government!
In a nutshell: JWI will be hosting a conversation on female leadership and voting with three Jewish politicians – U.S. Rep. Elaine Luria (VA) who served two decades in the Navy, retiring at the rank Commander; Arizona State Rep. Alma Hernandez, the youngest elected member of the Arizona House of Representatives; and Florida State Sen. Annette Taddeo, who became the first Latina Democratic to serve in the Florida Senate.

In a nutshell: While companies have the ability to mitigate violent, anti-Semitic, and hateful speech, they have chosen profit over the protection of those targeted by hate.
