321ACTION: Hear from a survivor, register to vote, demand equal pay

1. Listen to and Learn from a Survivor

New polling indicates that nearly nine in ten Americans are concerned about school shootings (89%) and nearly two in three Americans want stronger gun laws (64%) .

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 20th at 7:30pm ET, join JWI's Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable for "A New Year: Resilience in the Face of Gun Violence" to hear from Ivy Schamis, a former teacher and survivor of the mass shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, about her experience and her perspective on facing each new day.

Join us TOMORROW for "A New Year: Resilience in the Face of Gun Violence"

2. Check Your Registration Status

Millions of Americans won’t be able to vote in November because of their registration status. Some people just never registered to vote, some have forgotten to update their registration after moving, and some have been purged from the rolls.

In honor of National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 20th check your status and remind your friends, family, and neighbors to check theirs as well!

This #NationalVoterRegistrationDay know your status

3. Spread the word: It's almost Black Women's Equal Pay Day

Black women make only 58 cents for every $1 white, non-Hispanic men make. Between the pandemic, inflation, and hurdles women already face, this wage gap is immoral.

September 21st (264 days into a new year) marks the date that Black women have to work into the new year to FINALLY catch up to what white, non-Hispanic men earned last year. Join the Twitterstorm on Wednesday, Sept. 21st from 2-3pm ET to raise awareness and demand equal pay on #BlackWomensEqualPayDay.
