321ACTION: March on Washington, Assault Weapons Ban, and Medication Abortion

Ready to make a difference?

Here are three ways to get started:

1. The March is over, but the work continues

Thousands gathered on the National Mall Saturday for the 60th anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington. Until every person living in America has equal access to employment, to decent housing, to vote, and to live free of violence and fear, we cannot stop creating the change. Read Vice President Harris’s statement and recommit yourself to making ‘and justice for all’ a reality.

2. Tell Congress to support the Assault Weapons Ban of 2023

Racism, white supremacy and guns headlined our news again this weekend. The three Black lives that were lost were taken by a White man using an AR-15 decorated with swastikas. Florida’s weak gun violence prevention laws didn’t prevent this murderer from accessing an assault weapon: Use your voice, your anger, and your passion to insist that the federal Assault Weapon Ban is reinstated - so that even in states like Florida, it will be against the law to own an AR-15. Tell Congress to support S. 25 and H.R. 698 - the Assault Weapons Ban of 2023.

3. Medication abortion under attack

Access to medication abortion continues to be threatened as the Fifth Circuit is working hard to impose medically-unnecessary barriers to Mifepristone. Important to note: Mifepristone is legal in those states where abortion is legal – but the new ruling reduces the already-limited access to abortion in Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Any decision by the Supreme Court will have far-reaching consequences for us and generations to come. Educate yourself about the availability of medication abortion across the U.S.!
