321ACTION: Age limits on gun sales; service members' repro rights; ERA in the Constitution

Ready to make a difference?

Here are three ways to get started:

1. Limit semiautomatic gun sales to ages 21+.

The Age 21 Act (S.14) aims to enhance public safety and promote responsible gun ownership by raising the minimum age for purchasing semiautomatic assault weapons and large-capacity ammunition feeding devices from 18 to 21 years old. While no average citizen should have access to semiautomatic rifles, this Act at least recognizes the connection between cognitive maturity and responsible decision-making. Contact your senators now to urge their support for the Age 21 Act. (For more about teens and gun violence, see ICYMI below.)

2. Protect our service members' reproductive rights.

House Republicans have voted to eliminate a critical Pentagon policy that guarantees access to safe and legal abortions for service members. This proposal was added to a Pentagon funding bill, and it is crucial to contact your senators today and urge them not to support any bill that includes this harmful proposal. Stand up for the reproductive rights of those who stand up for our country!

3. Enshrine the ERA in the U.S. Constitution.

Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) have introduced a resolution that calls for the publication of the Equal Rights Amendment as the 28th Amendment, emphasizing the need to establish gender equality as a fundamental principle in our nation. It is essential that we raise our voices and advocate for the ERA's inclusion in the Constitution. Learn more here.
