321ACTION: March 18, 2024
Deepfakes are perhaps best known in the context of AI-generated pornographic content featuring Taylor Swift. This technology can and is being used to generate and disseminate explicit images of women across the world. Jewish Women International is proud to support the Virtual Summit on Deepfake Abuse, being held online on March 19th and 20th. Learn more about the Summit and register here.
Ready to make a difference?
Here are three ways to get started:
1. Tell the world, I believe Israeli women!
On and after October 7, terrorists committed sexual violence against Israeli women, men, and children. Every day these truths are denied. Add your voice and tell Israeli women that we stand with and believe them. If you have already signed up, follow the campaign on Instagram.
2. Tell your members of Congress to support the Human Rights Defenders Protection Act of 2024!
Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Representative Jim McGovern (D- MA-2) have introduced the Human Rights Defenders Protection Act of 2024, which strengthens policies supporting human rights defenders abroad and strengthens the US’s ability to hold human rights violators accountable. Read more about the bill here, and click here to email your members of Congress to urge them to co-sponsor this important legislation.
3. Donate old long sleeve shirts for farmworkers!
This week, the Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs is holding a long sleeve shirt drive in honor of National Farmworker Awareness Week. Learn more and find your local shirt drop-off location here.
