321ACTION: December 2, 2024
Congress is back, with the same to-do list its had since the election - fund the federal government, provide disaster relief, pass the National Defense Authorization Act, and make it back home in time to spend the winter holidays with their families. And, in the Senate, expect a continued focus on confirming judges.
Ready to make a difference?
Here are three ways to get started:
3. Urge your Representative to co-sponsor the Good Samaritan Menstrual Products Act
Two out of five people who menstruate struggle to afford period products. Representative Grace Meng has introduced the Good Samaritan Menstrual Products Act, a bill to provide “Good Samaritan” liability protection for donated period products, similar to that provided for donated food products. Click here to contact your Representative and urge them to co-sponsor this important bill.
2. Tweet your members of Congress to restore funding for victim services
With fifteen legislating days left in the 118th Congress, there is still time to address key priorities - including restoring funding for victim services, which were cut by 40% this year. Click here to tweet at your members of Congress and tell them to urge Congressional leadership to prioritize the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act in the waning days of this legislative session.
