Congress will return from the election recess after Veterans Day for the lame duck session. They have a few priorities for the remainder of the year, including funding the federal government either into the next Congress or for the remainder of the fiscal year and passing the annual National Defense Authorization Act. The Senate is also expected to focus on confirming federal judges.

Birth control access is critical to women’s physical, mental, and economic well-being. Thursday, November 14th is Thanks, Birth Control Day. Use this toolkit, animated graphics, and the hashtag #ThxBirthControl to raise awareness about the importance of birth control and how it has impacted your life.
2. CRSV International Protocol
JWI, as part of their I Believe Israeli Women global movement in partnership with Seed the Dream Foundation, co-authored a statement with Israel Women's Network calling for international protocol following the sexual atrocities of 10/7 and the global disinformation campaign of denial and distortion. 1. Abortion access wins
Abortion won at the polls. Seven of ten state ballot measures protecting abortion access passed, with an eighth receiving strong majority support but not crossing the 60% threshold required by the state. Read more here.
