An internationally recognized expert on sexuality and relationships, Dr. Logan Levkoff en- courages honest conversation about sexuality and the role it plays in our culture. Logan makes it clear that sex and sexuality are not “dirty” words; she works to create an environment where people feel comfortable asking (and getting answers to) their most personal questions. Logan empowers children, adolescents, and adults to embrace their sexuality and challenge the impractical, and often unhealthy, messages that they are exposed to.
Logan is dedicated to perpetuating healthy and positive messages about sexuality. She speaks on a wide range of issues, including sexual health and sexuality education, trends in sexuality, challenging gender roles, deconstructing the double standard, relationship hurdles and intimacy, consent, and the role of sexuality and representation (or lack thereof) in pop culture, business, and politics.
For two decades, Logan has been teaching groups of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. She has designed and implemented sexuality education programs, faculty development, and parent education in many secular and religious independent and public schools, universities, medical schools, community groups, and networking organizations, including YPO/WPO. Logan’s expertise with teens and parents has been profiled in numerous publications, including The New York Times. She has also worked on projects for Dove, Merck, Pfizer, and other companies in the beauty, health, and wellness space. Logan’s work has been recognized by Jewish Women International; she was a 2018 Woman to Watch.
As a thought leader in the field of human sexuality, relationships, and parenting, Logan frequently appears on television including Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, The CBS Early Show, Oprah, Fox News Channel, and CNN. She was also the host of CafeMom’s show, Mom Ed: In the Bedroom, hosted The Sexpert video series for Shape.com, and was the sexuality expert for the first three seasons of the breakout hit for A&E/FYI, Married at First Sight.
Logan is a trusted source for numerous publications and has penned sexual health and relationship columns for many of them. Currently, Logan blogs for The Huffington Post, Medium, and has been writing columns for Nurx. She was also a member of the faculty at the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program, where she spent five years teaching post- graduate cohorts pursuing the sexuality education track.
Logan is the author of two parenting books: Got Teens? The Doctor Moms’ Guide to Sexuality, Social Media, and Other Adolescent Realities with Dr. Jennifer Wider (Seal Press, 2014) and Third Base Ain't What it Used to Be: What Your Kids are Learning About Sex Today and How to Teach Them to Become Sexually Healthy Adults (Open Road Media, May 2012). Both of these works help parents to understand the role sexuality plays in their children’s lives and empowers them to become better at-home sexuality educators. Logan is also a contributor to ToughLove: Eighteen Top Experts Share Proven Strategies for Raising Confident, Kind, Resilient Kids. (Simon & Schuster, 2016). She also penned the digital guide, How to Get Your Wife to Have Sex with You (Good in Bed Publications, 2010).
Logan has served on the AASECT Board of Directors and is an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator and Sexuality Educator Supervisor. She is also a member of the Trojan (Condoms) Sexuality Health Advisory Council, the SheKnows Media Board of Advisors, and a member of the National Coalition for Sexual Health, and serves on the board of Temple Israel of New York City. Logan received her Ph.D. in Human Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Life Education from New York University and an M.S. in Human Sexuality Education and a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in New York City with her husband, son, and daughter.
