JWI's Statement on the Synagogue Shooting in Pittsburgh

Today's devastating shooting, which occurred during a weekly shabbat service at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, breaks all of our hearts. It is unfathomable to imagine the  impact of today's events on the families and children gathered for a weekly service of observance and prayer at the Tree of Life (L'Simcha) Congregation. Our hearts mourn for all of the victims, including the police officers who were injured in the process of protecting the community. May the memories of all who died be for a blessing and may our nation come together to work for tolerance, peace and justice.
