It’s 2021 and Latina women still only make, on average, $0.57 for every $1.00 made by a white man. It is time to demand change!

Join the Twitterstorm this Thursday, 10/21 at 2:00 p.m. ET #LatinaEqualPay, and attend the Latina Equal Pay Day & Essential Women Workers Virtual Summit.

Discriminatory voting practices at the state level, such as onerous voter ID laws, partisan mapping of voting districts, and voter intimidation, have obstructed people’s ability to exercise their right to vote. These practices most significantly impact and disenfranchise Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC). The Freedom to Vote Act (FVA) and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (VRA) will protect citizens nationwide from disenfranchisement by expanding opportunities to vote and preventing these discriminatory practices.

Take action now to protect voting rights:

  • Learn how to move voters to action, October 19th-21st, with Deep Canvassing Training

  • Join the Freedom to Vote Rally in Washington, DC on October 23rd

  • Urge the Senate to stop delaying and pass the FVA and VRA

Happening at JWI

JWI released the most comprehensive national study on domestic violence and the Jewish community ever undertaken. As the domestic violence field moves toward survivor-centered and community-based responses to violence, the Jewish community can choose to do the same. Check out our full report.
