ACT NOW - Our health care is on the line!

13 male senators have almost finished drafting a version of the health care bill that recently passed the House of Representatives. It is possible that they could pass it soon, with only 50 senate votes and the vote of the vice president. 

While we don’t know exactly what is in this plan (because it has been drafted in secret away from the media, advocates, constituents, and senate democrats), we can only assume that it will be as dangerous as the bill that passed the House. The American Health Care Act (AHCA) raises the cost of health insurance for those with pre-existing conditions, defunds Planned Parenthood, and strips more than 20 million people of health care coverage. 

The legislation will devastate the working poor who receive insurance from Medicaid Expansion, women who could once again pay more for insurance based solely on their gender, and older Americans with pre-existing conditions who will no longer be covered. 

We need to take a stand against this devastating legislation!
