321ACTION: Protect pregnant workers, be an educated voter, and learn from DV experts
Ready to make a difference?
Here are three ways to get started:
1. Help protect pregnant workers
It’s been almost 45 years since Congress addressed workplace protections for pregnant workers and we are so, so close. We have the 60+ votes to pass the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) - we just need Senate leaders to deliver for workers, women, and families.
Join JWI and other women’s organizations every Tuesday as we push Senate leadership to bring PWFA to a vote!

2. Make sure you are registered to vote
Twenty-two states and Washington, D.C., have same-day registration, which allows any qualified resident of the state to register to vote and cast a ballot at the same time.
See if you are still able to register or update your voter registration and make sure you look at a sample ballot to ensure you know who you want to vote for and are informed about any referendums or ballot initiatives.
3. Learn from experts on ways to prevent and respond to domestic abuse
Earlier today at JWI’s 5th International Conference on Domestic Violence in the Jewish Community, we heard from Laura van Dernoot Lipsky about the practical tools we can all use to help sustain ourselves in the face of trauma (whether related to work, our personal lives, the pandemic, or systemic oppression).
It’s not too late to join us for the final two days of the conference where we will explore key topics to help us move the needle forward to support Jewish survivors of domestic abuse. Sign up now to join us and get today’s recordings! The full conference will be recorded, so you can sign up and get access to watch it on your own time.
