321ACTION: November 6, 2023

Hamas brutalized and massacred Israeli civilians, including gender-specific violence, humiliation, and defilement of bodies both living and deceased. It’s not too late to sign this letter, written by women, and join with the Israel Women's Network, the Deborah Institute for Gender and Sustainability Studies, the Forum Dvora, The International Women's Forum, and the Rackman Center Faculty of Law at Bar Ilan University to demand the condemnation of Hamas and the release of the hostages.

Ready to make a difference?

Here are three ways to get started:

1. Join the Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable for an online workshop to submit comments to the ATF!

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is seeking comments on its proposed rule, Definition of Engaged in the Business as a Dealer in Firearms, which implements part of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Join the Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable, convened by JWI, on November 9 at 2:30 ET to learn about the rule and the rulemaking process. As part of the workshop, submit comments supporting the rule and urging the ATF to also address the definition of ‘dating relationship.’ Register here.

2. Save funding for victim services!

The Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) is the largest source of federal funding for victim service providers across the country, including domestic violence shelters, sexual assault programs, child advocacy centers, and more. Unless Congress acts, VOCA grants will be cut by $700 million next year. This would be catastrophic! Use this toolkit to call your members of Congress on November 8 to tell them not to cut VOCA grants.

3. Raise awareness about the upcoming Supreme Court Case, US v. Rahimi, and join a rally!

On November 7, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in United States v. Rahimi. This case has the potential to overturn critical legal protections from armed abusers for victims and survivors of domestic violence. Use JWI’s toolkit to raise awareness about this important case. RSVP here for the rally on the Supreme Court steps at 8:30 AM ET or join the rally online here!
