Interfaith Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence
Deborah Rosenbloom, JWI’s chief program officer, convenes the Interfaith Coalition (IC), a group of nearly 40 faith-based organizations joined in support of public policy that protects all people from domestic and sexual violence. As a national coalition, representing millions of congregants and constituents from diverse religious communities, the IC advocates in a unified voice for every individual’s right to live free from gender-based violence.
Clergy Task Force to End Domestic Abuse in the Jewish Community
Deborah Rosenbloom brings together Jewish clergy who are committed to ending violence through the Clergy Task Force. The members of this coalition write op-eds and create training materials for their fellow Jewish clergy to help inform, educate, and resource religious leaders across the United States.
Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence
JWI is a member of Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, a diverse coalition of 50 faith-based organizations united by a moral conviction to confront America’s gun violence epidemic. This coalition represents tens of millions of Americans in faith communities across the nation called to reduce gun violence.
Everytown for Gun Safety’s Faith Advisory Council
JWI is an inaugural member of Everytown for Gun Safety’s Faith Advisory Council – a new initiative at Everytown with 20 faith-based organizations, survivors, and activists with the intent to engage people of faith across the country and lend a moral voice to mainstream efforts to end gun violence.
National Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Steering Committee
JWI, in coordination with the Jewish Council of Public Affairs and Jewish Federations of North America, is creating a National Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Steering Committee that will coalesce Jewish organizations around gun violence prevention. The steering committee will aim to create a space for a diverse group of Jewish organizations to discuss, coordinate, and collaborate around bipartisan national legislative and administrative priorities and statewide initiatives, and develop a bipartisan advocacy initiative that the Jewish community can support.
