This year, JWI's Young Women's Impact Networks will come together for one unforgettable night, hosting Shabbat dinners simultaneously across the country. Join the New York network for an inspiring evening as we combine one of our most meaningful traditions with celebrating International Women's Day.
Shabbat dinner will be at Emma's Torch, a social enterprise that empowers refugees through culinary education and job readiness training. Named after Emma Lazarus, this incredible restaurant embodies her vision of welcoming and uplifting others. Over a delicious three-course meal served family style (with vegetarian/fish and gluten-free options), we'll hear about the organization's impact while connecting with like-minded Jewish women from across NYC.
✨ Event Details:
💲 Cost: $65 per person or $120 for two, including a three-course meal and a glass of wine. Additional wine available for purchase.
📍 Location: Emma's Torch, Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn (one block from the F and G trains, 15 minutes from the D and N/R/W trains).
🍴 Note: The meal will be kosher style, not strictly kosher.
Together, we will light candles 🕯️, share stories 📖, and create deep connections 🤝 that honor Jewish women's strength, resilience, and achievements. This unique Shabbat experience will include opportunities to build your local community while connecting with hundreds of other young Jewish women nationwide. 🌍✨
