Webinar - NETGroup: Domestic Violence Collaborative
Wednesday, November 20th at 1pm ET.
Join us for the next meeting of the Domestic Violence Collaborative NETGroup, in collaboration with NJHSA (The Network).
This session will be led by JFCS Gulf Coast's Zenea Johnson, Domestic Violence Advocate and Liaison and Pat Riley-Sanderson, Domestic Violence Specialist, and will discuss the systemic barriers and advocacy challenges faced when serving refugee and newcomer survivors of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)/Domestic Violence (DV).
The conversation will focus on cultural awareness, high-risk indicators, trauma-informed approaches and best practices in assisting survivors with multiple intersections of their identity including navigating the various legal, community, and medical systems.
Gulf Coast JFCS will provide information on their integrated approach once clients disclose abuse.
Both those with established domestic violence programs as well those wanting to learn more are welcome to attend! Please register below to receive the Zoom link and the recording after the meeting.
During this session, we'll provide automated captioning. The session will be recorded, and AI notetaking software may be used. Please contact your Network Staff Lead if you plan on sending an AI notetaking application in your stead.
