Tamar Gordon: Tech

Tamar Gordon is currently the Head of Business Operations & Analytics at Papaya Payments, a Los Angeles based FinTech startup. As a BizOPs & Analytics leader, she focuses her time empowering everyone at Papaya to make better and faster decisions using data, and turning strategies into results. As an early employee, Tamar has played an integral role in leading the company through significant growth periods.

Tamar has previous experience as a Technology Strategy Consultant at Deloitte Consulting and analytics leader at GoGuardian, the fastest growing EdTech company in the country. At GoGuardian, Tamar played a critical role in improving operations and helped lead the company through a high-multiple PE acquisition.

Tamar holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Outside of work, you can find Tamar hiking with her husband and dog, watching The Office, or planning events as part of the LA JWI board.

Shelley Greenspan: Government

Shelley Greenspan is a Senior Partnerships Manager at the U.S. Department of State where she manages public-private partnerships for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, a new program supporting the growth of women entrepreneurs around the world. Previously, she worked at Amazon as a Global Innovation Policy Associate focusing on external engagements abroad with policymakers and industry stakeholders. During the 2016 election, Shelley served on Hillary Clinton's Presidential Campaign running research and rapid response efforts for her State Department record. Shelley has extensive experience on Capitol Hill, covering the Senate Foreign Relations and House Foreign Affairs Committees for three years with AIPAC. Originally from Miami Beach, Shelley holds a dual bachelor’s degree in political science and public relations from the University of Florida.

Rebecca Leder: Marketing

Rebecca Leder is a speaker, writer, connector, and Adoption Marketing Manager at Salesforce. She founded an award-winning blog, TheRebeccammendations® in 2009, and a marketing consulting company for small businesses, startups, and nonprofits at the age of 26, when she was named a Rising Star finalist in the Austin Business Journal’s Women of Influence awards. Rebecca has shared her career development, personal branding, and marketing insights for companies, classrooms, and conferences, large and small, including: Salesforce, DePaul and Loyola Universities, Startup Institute Chicago, BlogHer, and YearUp.

Over her 12+ year marketing career, Rebecca has navigated several career changes, interview cycles, and connected with thought leaders using her 5 steps to building giving relationships: The Knock Method℠. To date, it has been shared in classrooms with 150+ professionals and students who are putting the steps into practice as they build their careers and get ready…her book is in the works!

Rebecca lives in Denver with her adored husband and loves entertaining at home, hiking, yoga, traveling, and bringing people together to watch the magic of connection happen.

Taylor Landay: Healthcare

Taylor is a public health professional with a focus in global health. Originally from Pittsburgh, she attended the University of Maryland where she majored in Public Health and earned a certification in globalization. While in college, she studied abroad in both India and Australia, opening her eyes to international health systems and inequalities. Post-college, Taylor joined the Jewish Service Corps and spent two years serving as a public health fellow at the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda.  After an incredible experience abroad, she moved to Atlanta to earn her Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, focusing specially on international health and infectious diseases. During her time in graduate school, she worked for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Emory University as an epidemiology research assistant. She has since shifted her research to COVID-19 and is currently working on ongoing studies. Taylor recently accepted a position consulting for the CDC as a public health data analyst in global health. When she’s not tracking diseases, you can find her teaching yoga and trying out the best vegan food Atlanta has to offer.


 

JWI’s annual series of summer breakfast roundtables gathers D.C. interns and young professionals to discuss current issues unique to young women, and ways they can get involved and make a difference. This year, all of the sessions will be held over Zoom to include as many college-aged women as possible!
