Join JWI's NYC Young Women's Impact Network for an evening of making new friends (human & plant alike!). We will reflect on the time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur by setting new intentions for the Jewish year, while potting new plants to take home with us.
Two pricing options: reduced rate is $15.00, supporter rate is $25.00
The price of the event includes two succulents, supplies needed to pot and take the plants home, and refreshments.
JWI YWIN continues to offer meaningful experiences to those who identify as young women Jewish professionals and we continue to think of the ways in which we can make our events and spaces more accessible. This year we are introducing a sliding scale option for our attendees. Sliding scale pricing allows JWI to afford the costs of putting on these events while providing the flexibility to those who have varying levels of access, financial resources, or privilege.
We understand that our identity and backgrounds are multi-layered, that where we might benefit in one facet of our identity we can simultaneously experience bias with other parts of our identity.
Unsure of where you fall?
Consider paying the highest cost option, if you can comfortably meet your basic needs, have benefited from financial support systems in the past, or would like to forego take out this week. In doing so, you are helping to offset the cost for someone else and build a stronger and more inclusive JWI community here in NYC. We are aware that things change, so event to event this might differ!
If this option does not work for you, consider a lower fee option. The scale helps to include those who normally would not be able to attend, including low income, disabled, and other folks from underrepresented backgrounds.
In keeping with JWI’s commitment to serving the greater good, COVID-19 vaccines will be required. This program is built for women and non-binary people who identify as Jewish, but people of every religious affiliation, race, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ability are welcome.
