Faith Convening on the National Plan to End Gender-Based Violence
We are pleased to invite you to participate in an important convening hosted by the Interfaith Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence on October 8 from 1:00-3:00 ET. This event will bring together leaders and representatives from faith-based organizations with experience in the field of gender-based violence to provide valuable feedback on the National Plan to End Gender-Based Violence. Your insights and expertise are crucial in shaping how the faith community can effectively contribute to this nationwide effort.
During the convening, you will have the opportunity to engage in breakout sessions focused on two of the seven pillars outlined in the National Plan, based on your preference. These sessions will allow you to share your perspective, experiences, and recommendations on the specific aspects of the plan that resonate most with your work. Please note that participation in breakout sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited. We encourage you to register early to ensure your voice is heard on the topics most relevant to your organization.
The feedback collected from this event will be compiled into a report to be presented to the federal government, highlighting the critical role the faith community plays in ending gender-based violence. Feedback will be anonymized. The event will be recorded for our internal use, but the recording will not be shared externally to the Interfaith Coalition. We hope you will join us in this vital discussion and contribute to shaping a future free from gender-based violence.
