ELISE SHUTZER builds, manages and directs the Pew Environment field presence across the U.S. Prior to joining Pew, Elise spent a decade running public affairs and grassroots campaigns as a principal of the grassroots practice at the Dewey Square Group. Elise also oversaw the Get-Out-The-Vote effort for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign in Nevada and worked in the Corporate Affairs division of Citizens Bank. She was the recipient of a prestigious Rotary International Ambassadorial Fellowship to Madrid, Spain where she studied International Politics and Conflict Resolution. Additionally, Elise acts as chair of the United Way of the National Capital Area’s Emerging Leaders Committee and sits on UWNCA’s prestigious board of directors and also serves as co-chair of the board’s Governance and Nominations Committee.
