Self-taught entrepreneur and founder of Moisture Jamzz (1993), Sandy Abrams turned a beauty product idea into a multi-million dollar business with clients like Bath & Body Works, Estee Lauder, Bed, Bath & Beyond, QVC, Nordstrom, and many more. Now known as "TheCEOm," she is a longtime entrepreneur, author of Your Idea, Inc. (2010), and contributor on HuffPost and Thrive Global, where she writes about entrepreneurs, small business, and breath/yoga/ wellness. Abrams credits her entrepreneurial success to her 30 years of yoga and breath practice/training. Abrams has consulted as a small business thought leader, content curator and social influencer with brands like Capital One, LegalZoom, Sage software, and Marriott. She leads #BREATHE Workshop Experiences to share the power of breath for wellness & success. She’s brought these experiences to Google, Facebook, McKinsey, WW, Universal, Canyon Ranch Spa, women’s and entrepreneurial groups, and business and wellness conferences. In her second book, Breathe to Succeed (May 2019), she shares her unique perspective about what meditation and mindfulness look like in 2019 and beyond.
After more than ten years working in a Tucson hospital and clinic as a board-certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Nicola Finley joined Canyon Ranch in 2013. She received her medical degree from the George Washington School of Medicine and stayed at GW for residency. She also has an associate fellowship in integrative medicine from the University of Arizona. Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona. Within the practice of medicine, Dr. Finley has a passion for women’s health topics with an emphasis on female intimate issues, menopause and osteoporosis. She also has an interest in taking care of the whole person – mind, body and spirit – especially highlighting the importance of connections to others and spirituality in medicine. Her support of an integrative approach to wellness extends to her personal life as well, with acupuncture sessions, and activities such as Zumba, jogging, hiking and yoga as part of her regular routine. Since she enjoys being outside, she leads a walking medical presentation outdoors on the Canyon Ranch property. Dr. Finley gives lectures at Canyon Ranch as well as outside of Canyon Ranch on a variety of integrative medicine topics to wide range of audiences. At the University of Arizona, she lectures to undergraduate, graduate and medical students. And, she presents to staff and faculty on the topic of personal wellness. At Canyon Ranch, dance classes are her favorite and she gives a lecture about the health benefits of dance. In addition, Dr. Finley is a scuba diver, foodie and travel enthusiast. She shares these pursuits with her husband and she hopes to pass on these interests to their young daughter, who’s already an escargot connoisseur.
