Footsteps’ cultural competency training aims to bring nuanced understanding to working with people who have left insular ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities. The training provides context to those who stay in the community, those who leave the community, and what the journey out can look like. Participants of Footsteps’ training are given best practices for working with formerly ultra-Orthodox people in a trauma-informed and supportive space.
In this training we will spend some time exploring how Domestic Violence is experienced when one is leaving the community and how it might play out.
