Hundreds of thousands of people are marching this Saturday - across the U.S. and around the world - to ensure the Trump administration and the GOP know that #FamiliesBelongTogether and the American people are calling to #EndFamilySeparation.
What are we asking the Administration to do?
- Stop separating families seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border
- Reunite families that have been separated - and prove that they've been reunited
- End its zero tolerance policy for immigrants crossing the border
Where are we meeting?
If you'd like to march with JWI, we'll meet at Swing's Coffee, 1700 G St NW, at 10:30 a.m. and head over to the rally in Lafayette Square at 10:45. It will be a hot day. The march organizers have arranged for some water stations, but you should still come prepared for weather over 90 degrees.
What are we wearing?
White! All march participants are asked to wear white to show solidarity with families seeking asylum who've been separated at the U.S. border.
What are we carrying?
We'll have these posters on hand for our allies at the Washington march. If you're marching outside of D.C. but still want to represent JWI, download and print our poster and carry it with pride!
What are we sharing?
When you post your photos from the march to social media, don't forget to tag JWI, and use any or all of the following hashtags:
