Get ready for 5781 with a community service project at Ekar Farms where you can harvest a positive mindset for the new year, while taking part in gardening work. Ekar Farms is a local Jewish farm in Denver that connects people to community, and community to the earth. Our evening will begin with a tour of the farm followed by hands-on gardening like hand-weeding beds, hoeing walkways to clear them of weeds, harvesting, and preparing beds for the winter season. We will end the evening with refreshments and reflection.
Both JWI and Ekar Farms are taking serious COVID-19 precautions. Everyone is required to wear a mask and a farm employee will do a quick symptom check upon your arrival. The event is limited to 10 volunteers, so please register early.
