Speaker Bios:

Amanda Gould (she/they)

Senior Program Manager, National LGBTQ Institute on IPV

Amanda Gould is the Senior Program Manager of the National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, a project with the core mission of improving our country’s response to the unique needs of LGBTQ survivors. Amanda has been supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence for nearly a decade, working in the field as a survivor advocate, crisis responder, case manager, forensic exam accompanying advocate, violence prevention educator, and support group facilitator for LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic violence. They have worked with domestic violence and sexual assault service providers on a local and national level to improve their capacity to better support LGBTQ+ survivors through community-specific training, technical assistance, and changes in policies and procedures. Amanda is deeply passionate about supporting survivors from an intersectional perspective that takes into account survivors’ intersecting identities and lived experiences.

Amy Bellm (she/her)

Program Training Manager

National LGBTQ Institute on IPV

Since earning her MSW from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Amy has worked in a variety of settings toward social justice and institutional change. Her earlier roles included micro-level work with justice system impacted families and in school settings with youth. She provided leadership opportunities, skill building groups, and comradery and community around similar experiences. Her more recent roles have been in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion field, including many years facilitating trainings in high schools and universities, for profit and nonprofit organizations to build awareness and move organizations toward more equitable practices.  Currently, she is the Program Training Manager of the National LGBTQ Institute on IPV at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where she is thrilled to lean on years of facilitation experience to bring capacity building, interactive trainings to organizations looking to better serve LGBTQ survivors of intimate partner violence.
