Webinar Overview
Firearms and domestic violence are a lethal combination. Research shows that firearms violence is the leading cause of femicide among intimate partners. This webinar will first look at the data around the intersection of domestic violence and firearms violence, then at the most common justice system interventions. We will then address the importance of community-based interventions that can help reduce firearms violence in domestic violence cases, focusing on the need for local court watch programs to gather data and ensure that the justice system provides safety for the most vulnerable victims of domestic violence.
