1-on-1 Mentorship
JWI's Young Women's Leadership Network created the One-on-One mentorship program to pair members of the Network with JWI Women to Watch honorees - inspiring Jewish women leaders and role models - for professional development and personal, financial, and career guidance. Our goal is to create an experience of the utmost value to all mentors and mentees, matching each young woman with a role model who can best help her realize her goals.
The program runs from January to June. Mentoring pairs meet once a month, either in person, by phone, or through video conferencing. A member from any of our networks (N.Y., D.C., L.A., Chicago, and Denver) can participate! Participation is free, but you must be a Network member in good standing to apply.
“The mentorship program really helped me with personal growth and envisioning what I want from the future.”
“This was truly an incredible experience to gain expertise from another strong Jewish woman.”
“The best advice I received from my mentor was to carve out a space for myself, and how to make myself indispensable to my company or anywhere I work in the future. ”
“This was an incredible opportunity to connect with someone who was a bit farther along in her career. She guided me through career fears, thinking about new opportunities, and was there to support me. ”
“My mentor encouraged me to stay positive during my job search and ultimately helped me generate ways to negotiate a salary for my new job.”
