321ACTION: Stand with Israel, and spread the word about abusers + guns.

Israel is currently in a state of emergency, and people throughout the country need support, including support to address their emotional and psychological needs. Please consider donating to The Children’s Home at the Jerusalem Hills Therapeutic Centers, founded by JWI in the 1940s, a nondenominational residential home for children who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment. Ready to make a difference?

Here are three ways to get started:

1. Sign a letter to the U.N.: Condemn Hamas!

Hamas brutalized and massacred Israeli civilians, including gender-specific violence, humiliation, and defilement of bodies both living and deceased. Sign this letter, written by women, and join with the Israel Women's Network, the Deborah Institute for Gender and Sustainability Studies, the Forum Dvora, The International Women's Forum, and the Rackman Center Faculty of Law at Bar Ilan University to demand the condemnation of Hamas and the release of the hostages.

2. Email Congress: Support aid to Israel!

As Israel seeks to defend itself against Hamas and Hezbollah, recover the hostages kidnapped by Hamas, and rebuild after the brutal and devastating terrorist attacks on civilians, President Biden has asked Congress to provide supplemental funding. Click here to urge your members of Congress to support aid to Israel.

3. Spread the word: Abusers should not have guns!

The Supreme Court will be hearing arguments in U.S. v. Rahimi in a few short weeks, challenging the constitutionality of the federal law prohibiting abusers from possessing firearms. Use JWI’s brief toolkit to share a critical message: "Abusers should not have guns!" And if you missed it, you can watch a recording of our briefing on Rahimi here

+ In case you missed it...

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence recently published an analysis of data from the Gun Violence Archive, finding that firearm-involved intimate partner homicides increased almost 22% between 2018 and 2022.
