321ACTION: Stand with Israel, and join a Supreme Court briefing this Wednesday

Israel is currently in a state of emergency, and people throughout the country need support, including support to address their emotional and psychological needs. Please consider donating to The Children’s Home at the Jerusalem Hills Therapeutic Centers, founded by JWI in the 1940s, a nondenominational residential home for children who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment. Ready to make a difference?

Here are three ways to get started:

1. Tell Congress to STAND WITH ISRAEL.

President Biden spoke forcefully in support of Israel as it battles Hamas and seeks to rescue the hundreds of Israelis, including children, women, and older adults, who are being held hostage. He also deployed the U.S. military to the region. Congress must also take action to support Israel. Click here to email your members of Congress, urging them to stand with Israel in her time of need, including by providing emergency supplemental aid.

2. Get briefed on a pivotal upcoming Supreme Court gun violence case.

Next month, the United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in United States v. Rahimi, which has the potential to strip survivors of critical protections from armed abusers. There is still time to register for JWI’s briefing (October 18, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. ET) on this critical issue.

3. Speak out for Israeli hostages.

Sign NCJW’s Global Women’s Leader’s Letter exhorting the international community to do everything within their power to secure the release of the women and children being held hostage by Hamas and to ensure that they are treated humanely while in captivity.
