321ACTION: February 5, 2024

JWI’s CEO Meredith Jacobs recently moderated a panel of esteemed guests from around the world, addressing the failure of UN Women to promptly condemn Hamas’s sexual violence against women in Israel. For those who missed the online event, a recording can be found here.

Ready to make a difference?

Here are three ways to get started:

1. Oppose harmful asylum restrictions!

Congress is considering making dramatic changes to the asylum process that will have devastating impacts on victims and survivors of gender-based violence. Click here to email your members of Congress, urging them to pass foreign aid, including aid to Israel, without harming victims.

2. Expand the Child Tax Credit to lift children out of poverty!

The House of Representatives has passed the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024, a bill to expand the child tax credit to provide economic support to low-income families with children. However, it faces an uncertain fate in the Senate. Sign this letter from our allies at Moms Rising, calling on the Senate to pass the House bill.

3. Participate in Jewish Disability Advocacy Day!

February 28 is Jewish Disability Advocacy Day. Register here to join our colleagues at Jewish Together for a virtual advocacy event from 1-2:30 ET.
