Agunah (pl. agunot) - a chained woman, one whose husband will not grant her a get
Beit din (pl. battei din) - a rabbinical court 
Chuppah (pl. chuppot) - wedding canopy
Get (pl. gittin) - divorce under Jewish law

P’tur (pl. p’turim) - statement of release; record of a get given to a husband and wife after the sefer k’ritot has been filed by the beit din

(pl. sefrei k’ritot) - scroll of severance; the written document of a get
Seruv (pl. seruvim) - a decree a beit din (rabbinical court) issues condemning a person
Shalom bayit - peace in the home
Shanda - shame
Sofer (pl. sofrim) - a scribe
